Shoplifting again.

I have had another thought on the subject of shoplifting. I did wholeheartedly agree with it in my last post, but have had some reservations since. I feel that to shoplift from larger shops or supermarkets, is ok, they can easily absorb the loss of revenue. I do not think though that it is moral to steal from small businesses as you could make them go out of business. Most shoplifters seem to be desperate people, like drug addicts. I am not really doing them any favours by buying their goods from them, as I am inadvertently helping to fund their drug habit. However, I hate druggies and think that they are scum; so I don't care.

week 4. Masturbation

My views on the subject are that it is basically ok to do it. I watched a program last night about sex education in schools. In Holland, where they have a broader sex education, which even includes classes on how to masturbate, they have a much lower teen pregnancy rate than we do in the U.K. Perhaps they are all too busy masturbating, to actually 'do it'. It is a very close thing to do, if you are in a sexual relationship, to wank in front of your partner. For one, it shows that you trust them, if you can get over our taboos on it and also has the double- wammy, of showing them how you like it done. I discovered it at age 13. God! I wish I'd discovered it a bit sooner.. It's great!http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Masturbation

Week 3. Prostitution and shoplifting.

Prostitution is a dangerous, but profitable business. In my opinion, only desperate, or greedy people would risk their lives doing it. Not only can prostitutes contract aids, but they are often beaten up,or murdered. It is said that it is the oldest profession in the world; but I do not see it as a legitimate job, as such. The men , (generally) who use them, are evidently desperate as well, as they are also risking their lives, regarding aids at least. I reccomend it for people who are absolutely desperate for money, but then only in the very short term. This is because the risks of something bad would increase, the longer that one did it for.

Shoplifting is great, so long as I don't have to do it myself. I get loads of cheap food, coffee and all sorts of things, cheap off what my friends call,'The Shoplifters'. It may affect prices in the long term, but I don't care as long as I can get cheap stuff now, while I am poor. It can end up getting people put in prison, if they do it for long enough. Again, I wouldn't reccommend it as a way to make money, except in the very short term.

Week 2. Smoking.

This is my experience of smoking.
I was not born in the 1950s, when smoking was seen as the epitomy of sexiness and cool, but it didn't stop me doing it. Peer pressure had a lot to do with it and I became embroiled in this particular addiction from the age of 15. I am still smoking now at 41. I know all the downsides of smoking, it's expensive, it's dangerous to my health; I stink and I cough, but I still do it. It contains many cancer causing chemicals, yet I still love it. It calms me down when I'm stressed and gives me something to do with my hands. Other's might say that I could always take up meditation or knitting, but I say no. If I want to kill myself, I am entitled to make that choice.
