Everybody lies a bit, especially on their cv. We all have discrepancies in our working life. It is pretty much normal to lie as well, i f a woman asks,' does my bum look big in this' ?. Men, if they have any sense of decency and don't want to get a premenstrual 'beating', will invariably answer 'no dear, you look lovely'; if they have any sense, thaat is. I have met some who have been extremely tactless and rude, in the past. They did'nt last very long. One even had the audacity to say that my fanny was too big these days and that was only because he had fucked me when I was a virgin and we fucked again several years later. Of course it felt bigger than it had before. I thought at the time, bollocks to you, maybe it 's because your dick isn't big enough; but still, it has still given me a complex, a bit for the rest of my life. No one else has ever complained, however. This is one of the reasons why I believe that it sometimes alright to tell a little white lie, you can save peoples feelings. Lying on a large scale though is not something that I would say do. Sir Walter Scott once said, " Oh what a tangled web we weave, when we first deceive". (The Times, 3rd may 2007, 4). I couldn't agree more with this quote. I tangled myself into a massive web 15 years ago, This is the story, I hope it is a useful warning to make people think twice before they lie. I had a boyfriend, he was a lovely chap, but I had realise that we were not 'meant to be'. We argued all the time fora start. Anyway, I tried to dump him several times, but every time that I tried, he would start to cry, and I would feel bad and take him back. So, for this reason, I hatched what I thought was a cunning plot. I said that I was at a time in my life when I wanted to fulfill a life-long dream. This was to go to Thailand for a month or two. I bought a 'Rogh guide to Thailand ' book, I pretended to go and get all of the necessary injections and I gave up my job. He was so nice that he said, " I don't mind if you do it, I don't want you to miss out on your dreams just for me"He even said that he would 'wait for me to return'. I never even went. I just changed fuckin jobs and moved. I got caught out and embarrassed, serves me right really. Some friend of his bumped into me after about a month, then I saw other people who knew me, and all they said was "How was Thailand?", and this idiot here had to make it all up. I'm not sure whether everyone was convinced by my bullshit, but the poor guy was, bless him. I should have had the guts to be honest and stick to my decisions, it has proved how stupid and weak that I can be. Don't think that lying is always an easy way out of difficult things, it is't.
